A beer festival featuring over 50 different beers is coming to Long Island City at the beginning of October.
LIC Flea & Food’s fourth annual Queens Beer Festival takes place on Oct. 5 and 6 at 5-25 46th Ave., a site located by Anable Basin.
The festival, which is the largest beer festival in Queens, runs from noon until 5:30 p.m. on each day and there will be two sessions on either day. Sessions run from noon until 2:30 p.m., and from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
The event features a wide variety of beers from around 25 local breweries. The majority of the beers are from the ever-expanding group of Queens-based breweries, along with a small selection of beers from Long Island, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Some of the breweries set to feature at the festival include Blue Point Brewery, LIC Beer Project, Brooklyn Brewery, Big aLICe and Montauk Brewing Company among many others.
The beer festival was first launched in 2016 and over 2,000 people have attended it each year. This year’s festival will also feature a live DJ.
Tickets to the festival include unlimited free samples and a souvenir mug. Tickets start at $39 for an individual session and $79 for a full day ticket which also allows holders to enter the festival half an hour early.
Attendees can also visit the flea and food market that will be running at the same time as the beer festival. Tickets are not required to enter the market and food is not included in the beer festival tickets.
