Woman Stole Wallet and Used Credit Cards to Dine Out in Sunnyside: NYPD

A 32-year-old woman’s wallet went missing while she was visiting a Sunnyside playground and later learned her credit card was used to dine out at a nearby restaurant.

The woman realized she was missing her wallet at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 while inside the Thomas P. Noonan Playground, located at 42-01 Greenpoint Ave., police said. The wallet contained $20 cash and two credit cards.

Less than an hour later at 3:12 p.m., an unidentified woman used one of the 32-year-old’s credit cards to make $22.58 worth of unauthorized purchases at I Love Paraguay Restaurant, located at 43-16 Greenpoint Ave, police said.
