A man walked out of a Maspeth store with a $3,500 camera after pretending he wanted to buy it, police said.
The suspect entered BlattWorld Camera Store, located at 60-18 Fresh Pond Road, on Nov. 26, 2019 around 3:30 p.m. and pretended to be a customer looking to purchase a camera.
When a store employee handed the suspect a camera for inspection, the man fled the store with it. The suspect then headed southbound on Fresh Pond Road, according to police.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a black hooded sweater and dark colored shirt, dark jeans and multi-colored sneakers.
