Man Steals $5,000 Cash and Cartons of Cigarettes From Astoria Tobacco Store: NYPD

A man broke into an Astoria tobacco shop and stole $5,000 and nine cartons of cigarettes earlier this month, police said.

The suspect made his way into Tobacco-N-Vape, located at 33-18 31st Ave., on Jan. 16 at around 4:42 a.m. by breaking a lock at the store’s front entrance.

The thief took the cash and cigarettes and then fled in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as in his mid-30s. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
