Man Robs Sunnyside Store at Gunpoint, Takes $2,100 in Cash

Police are looking for a man who robbed a check-cashing store at gunpoint on Queens Boulevard yesterday and made off with $2,100 in cash.

The suspect allegedly walked into the PAY-O-MATIC store at 46-14 Queens Blvd. and handed the teller a note.

“I have a gun and a bomb. Give me the money and no one will get hurt,” the note read.

The suspect displayed a black firearm in his left waistband. There was no sign of a bomb.

The employee handed over the cash and the man fled on foot northbound on 47th Street, according to police.

The suspect is described as white and about 6 feet tall. No arrests have been made.
