A man was struck by a 7 train at the 52nd Street station this afternoon and is not likely to survive, the police said.

The 28-year-old victim jumped in front of a Flushing-bound 7 train at around 12:10 p.m. as it pulled into the station, according to the police.

The victim was alive when Emergency Services arrived on the scene, police said.

He was transported to Elmhurst Hospital but is unlikely to recover, according to the NYPD.

Power was turned off to allow first responders onto the scene and services were suspended in both directions on the 7 line for about 40 minutes, according to the MTA.

Police do not suspect criminality and were unable to provide any further information. The man’s identity has not been released although police confirmed he is of Hispanic descent.
