Man Wanted for Stealing Cash and Cigarettes from Astoria Bodega: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who burglarized a grocery store in Astoria early Sunday morning and stole cash and cigarettes.

The suspect allegedly smashed through the glass front door of Noreen’s, located at 29-24 Hoyt Avenue South, at around 5:18 a.m. on July 5, according to police.

The suspect then rummaged through the premises and took around $900 from the cash register. He also stole cigarettes and lottery tickets valued at around $1,200, police said.

The assailant then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Police described the suspect as being between 20 and 30 years of age.

The NYPD released a video of the suspect taken during the alleged incident.
