One of the two Chase bank branches on Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside is permanently closing.

Chase is shutting down its 47-11 Queens Blvd branch on Nov. 9, the company said. It has notified its customers and is redirecting them to its 46-10 Queens Blvd branch.

Sunnyside has had two Chase branches since the banking giant acquired Washington Mutual during the 2008 banking crisis. The 46-10 Queens Blvd branch—which was a Washington Mutual– was converted to a Chase in 2009.

Chase has closed a number of branches—on a temporary basis– during the COVID-19. Many others have been operating with shorter hours.

The bank has not said how many banks will remain closed permanently.
