A Bayside man died after crashing his motorcycle into another man’s motorcycle in Astoria over the weekend.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, around 11:53 a.m., a 30-year-old man was driving a green 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on 31st Street, according to the NYPD. The man approached 36th Avenue, where he attempted to take a left turn, the police said.

As he turned, Stylianos Berios, 65, who was driving southbound on 31st Street on a 2003 American Iron Horse motorcycle, collided with the driver of the Kawasaki, the NYPD said.

Both of the man fell off their bikes and into the road, according to the authorities.

Paramedics arrived to find Berios with trauma to his head and the 30-year-old with cuts to his face. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where Berios was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
