Man snatches woman’s cell phone in Corona subway station: NYPD

The NYPD is looking for a man who robbed a woman inside a subway station in Corona at the beginning of the month.

On Tuesday, Sept. 1, around 9 p.m., a 23-year-old woman was entering the Junction Boulevard subway station on the 7 train line. As she prepared to swipe her MetroCard, an unidentified man approached the her from behind and snatched her phone out of her pants’ back pocket, according to the police.

The man then ran out of the subway station and fled westbound on Roosevelt Avenue, cops said.

 

The suspect was last seen wearing a red and white shirt, black shorts, black and white sneakers and a black backpack, according to the authorities.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
