A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Monday morning in Rosedale, along the eastern edge of JFK Airport.

Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious man at Rockaway Boulevard and Brookville Boulevard around 1 a.m. on Sept. 27. There, they discovered a 38-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to his body lying on the roadway, police said.

EMS responded and pronounced 38-year-old Dimitry Maneiro dead at the scene, according to the NYPD.

A preliminary investigation determined that Maniero, who lived in a nearby hotel on Brookville Boulevard, was attempting to cross Rockaway Boulevard when he was struck by a 2014 Infiniti, which was traveling northbound on the roadway.

The driver did not remain on the scene, police said.

The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
