Police looking for gunman who stole an electric scooter in Jackson Heights

Police are looking for a gun-wielding man who stole an electric scooter on Sept. 11.

Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights are looking for a gun-wielding man who stole an electric scooter just a few blocks away from their station house on Sept. 11.

It was around 3 a.m. when the suspect approached a 28-year-old man who was standing with a group of people in front of 89-02 Northern Blvd. and pulled out a handgun, according to authorities.

The perpetrator then stole the victim’s electric scooter and was last seen riding the vehicle northbound on Northern Boulevard, police said. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a short man, with a medium complexion and black hair, last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
