The NYPD released a photo of a suspect Monday in a homicide investigation into a fatal stabbing inside a Woodhaven apartment late last month.

Police from the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill responded to a 911 call on June 29 regarding a foul odor at 76-16 Jamaica Ave. just a couple of blocks south of Cypress Hills Cemetery and were able to gain entrance into the “apartment of concern,” according to the NYPD.

Inside apartment 2B, officers discovered a 46-year-old victim unconscious and unresponsive and stuffed under a couch in the living room.

EMS responded to the crime scene and declared the man dead, police said.

The victim was later identified as Jason Brady and further investigation by the city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined he had been stabbed to death with wounds on his neck and back, police said.

The NYPD released the photo of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspects is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com, or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
