On Thursday, Aug. 25, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Woodside Public Library will be hosting a Meet the Author event. The event is part of a series aimed to highlight local authors and create greater recognition of the literary arts in the community.

The Aug. 25 event will be at the library’s meeting room and features acclaimed authors Eleni Traganas, Ron Kolm, and Dino Pavlou. The authors will each read from their own works and give a brief presentation. Afterward, a moderator will lead a group discussion.

Elena Traganas’ debut novel, “Twelfth House” was critically lauded. Her latest work, “Shaded Pergola,” is a must-read poetry collection that recently entered Amazon’s poetry bestseller list.

Ron Kolm is an author, poet, editor, and activist. Some of his works include “Divine Comedy,” “Night Shift,” and “A Change In The Weather.”

Dino Pavlou’s 2021 memoir, “Eleven Days To The Promised Land,” recounts his childhood in Greece to his adulthood spent working in luxurious New York City clubs and meeting celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr.

The program is free. However, books will be available to purchase and author autographs.
