New York City Mayor Eric Adams joined attendees at the Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival on Saturday, Aug. 6 celebrating the diverse culture, community, vitality and commerce in downtown Jamaica.
The JAMS Festival, which is held for two days during the first weekend in August, attracts up to 150,000 residents and visitors. Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, food, arts and crafts of Queens, family and youth-centered activities. The JAMS Festival was created in 1996, and coordinated by Cultural Collaborative Jamaica and the JAMS Festival Planning Committee.
