Prize-winning Take 5 lottery ticket sold in Jackson Heights

The New York Lottery announced Wednesday, Aug. 17, that a top prize-winning ticket was sold for the Aug. 16 drawing.

The ticket, worth $36,904, was purchased at Hanu NY Inc., located at 87-03 Northern Blvd. in Jackson Heights.

Take 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket can check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to see if they have the winning numbers.

Numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A game prize can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery is North America’s largest, most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in the fiscal year 2021-2022 to support education in the state.
