A Woodside convenience store worker was robbed at knifepoint last week, and police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights are on the lookout for the perpetrator.
Police say the suspect entered the deli at 69-03 Northern Blvd. at around 1:25 a.m. on Oct. 20 and forced the 61-year-old victim behind the counter, where he pulled out a knife and ordered him to open the cash register.
The robbery was caught on a security camera and shows the thief moving the employee out of his way and proceeding to take approximately $2,000 from the open register before running off westbound on Northern Boulevard.
There were no injuries reported during the armed robbery, police said.
Authorities say the suspect is between 35 and 40 years old and is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds with a medium skin tone. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
