An off-duty police officer was arrested following a domestic incident at her Richmond Hill home on Thursday night, Oct. 6, according to the NYPD.
Police from the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill took 29-year-old Naznin Akter into custody at around 11:21 p.m. on Oct. 6 after she began arguing over cash with a family member, according to a police spokesperson.
The verbal dispute escalated into violence and a child was involved, but the spokesperson could not provide further details regarding the incident.
Akter was charged with assault, criminal mischief, menacing and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, according to the NYPD.
