Assemblyman Edward Braunstein on Nov. 21 announced the four winners of this year’s Halloween essay and drawing contest. This year’s grand prize winners were second-grader Qiannan Qu of P.S. 94 in Douglaston and Peihong Art Studio in Auburndale, third-grader Cynthia Lin of P.S. 221 in Little Neck, fourth-grader Xenia Perez of P.S. 159 in Bayside and fifth-grader Chloe Chen of P.S. 115 in Glen Oaks.

“Qiannan, Cynthia, Xenia and Chloe each submitted spooky and imaginative entries to my office’s Halloween Essay and Drawing Contest,” Braunstein said. “Their families and schools should be very proud of their creative work. Thank you to the nearly 200 local students who got into the holiday spirit and submitted stories and drawings of their own to this year’s contest.”
Each winner received an Amazon gift card and all participants received a New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit.
