The Jackson Heights community gathered for a midday New Year’s Eve countdown during the third “Happy Noon Year” celebration held on Dec. 31 at 34th Avenue and 81st Street and 82nd Street. The event brought together adults and children of all ages to ring in 2023. Attendees filled the open streets with noise makers, party hats and confetti poppers. The third “Happy Noon Year” event was organized by Jacob White and his wife Amber, along with their daughter, Olive.
