A 15-year-old girl was the victim of sexual abuse onboard a Q19 bus in downtown Flushing on Thursday, Jan. 19, according to authorities.
It was reported to police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing that a man approached the teenager on an eastbound Q19 just before 7 a.m. on Jan. 19 and allegedly pressed his genital area against her body before exiting the bus outside the Main Street 7 train station. The suspect was last seen running down Main Street toward Roosevelt Avenue.
The NYPD released surveillance photos of the assailant sitting inside the bus.
He is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and 190 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a black face mask, a dark T-shirt and a gray hoodie under a dark jacket, blue jeans and gray boots. He also carried a camouflage backpack and a second smaller black backpack.
There is a reward of up to $3,500 for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
