Police from the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill are still looking for a young woman who allegedly attacked a 65-year-old man on board a Q52 MTA bus in Woodhaven in December 2022.

Police say the suspect began arguing with the victim as he tried to leave the bus at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard on the afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 15. The dispute escalated to violence when the assailant began to punch the victim multiple times in his face, causing bruising and swelling to the nose and a laceration to his left eye, according to authorities.

The suspect ran off the bus in an unknown direction while the injured bus rider refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspect from inside the bus. She is believed to be about 20 years old and is described as having a light complexion with long dark hair in a ponytail. She is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 180 pounds, police said. She was last seen wearing a red jacket.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to her arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
