A St. Albans man was fatally injured when he wiped out on his motorcycle on North Conduit Avenue in Ozone Park on Friday, May 19.

Police from the 106th Precinct in Ozone Park responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle just after noon on May 19 and found a 54-year-old man lying on the roadway near 79th Street with trauma to his body. EMS responded to the scene and rushed Dwayne General, of 180th Street in St. Albans, to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the authorities.

Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that General was riding his 2012 Yanaha V-Star Cruiser motorcycle westbound on North Conduit Avenue when he failed to properly navigate the roadway just west of 79th Street and his bike fell on its left side, onto the street, where it came to rest.

The investigation remains ongoing.
