Police from the 104th Precinct are on the lookout for a pair of thieves who stole a woman’s phone and car keys while she was getting flat tire changed in Ridgewood last month.

According to police, the 32-year-old victim had her phone and car keys stolen while getting a flat tire replaced, directly in front of Compi Tire And Rim, located at 11-16 Cypress Ave. in Ridgewood, on Friday, Oct. 27.

Police said an unidentified woman distracted the victim by spilling paint on her, all while a male accomplice reached into the victim’s car window, stole the victim’s vest holding her keys and phone, then fled in a silver Honda Odyssey.

The assailants then fled eastbound on Cypress Avenue, police said. The suspects are still at large and police continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
