An off-duty FDNY EMT was arrested at his Northeast Queens home just before midnight on Wednesday after police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside responded to a 911 call of a domestic dispute.
EMT Min Park, 31, became involved in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend in the home that escalated into violence. Park was criminally charged with assault, menacing, unlawful imprisonment and harassment and arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Thursday.
According to the criminal complaint, the girlfriend told police that Park grabbed a pair of scissors and a crochet needle and raised them slightly while stating, “I am going to kill you.”
When she tried to flee the house, Park allegedly grabbed onto her arm and held on to it for approximately ten minutes, not allowing her to leave the premises.
Park was ordered to return to court on Aug. 12.
