East Elmhurst store sells $50K Powerball ticket; Maspeth deli scores $8.6K in TAKE 5

A New York Lottery third-prize-winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Moreno Brother’s Inc., located at 94-15 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst, for the Aug. 21 Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers were drawn from a field of one to 69, with the red Power Ball drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

The East Elmhurst ticket was one of two third-prize winners in New York, with the other ticket sold upstate at Endicott, which was also valued at $50,000.

And on Aug. 19, the New York Lottery announced that multiple top-prize-winning tickets were sold for the TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing. One of those tickets, worth $8,649.50, was sold at Borja’s Deli Grocery Inc., located at 53-33 69th St. in Maspeth.
