Construction has wrapped for Hillside Tower, a 25-story residential tower in Jamaica.
Located at 147-35 95th Ave., Hillside Tower is 254 feet tall and occupies 720,248 square feet of space. The tower features 521 rental units, each averaging 1,365 square feet.
Another 9,241 square feet of the development is being used for commercial space. Other features of Hillside Tower will include 363 enclosed parking spaces, a cellar level and a rear yard measuring in at 30 feet long.
The new building’s facade is composed of white, gray, and earth-toned paneling with a mix of smooth and fluted textures. However, the western elevation of the building is blank and lacks windows. The construction crew is now in the process of installing glass paneling into the sidewalk canopy.
Amenities that will be available to residents of Hillside Tower include a shared laundry room, a fitness center, a lounge, a theater room, a recreation room with pool tables and other games to play, a business center with conference rooms, a children’s playroom, a rooftop terrace, a bike storage room, a package room, a virtual doorman and private parking in the garage enclosed by chain link fencing and exposed concrete. The building will also be pet-friendly, with a pet spa on hand.
JFA Architects and Engineers for Joel Weiss of Heartfelt Townhouse Build designed Hillside Tower, which sits on a previously vacant property. The real estate agency Nooklyn, which already has listings available on its site, is handling leasing and marketing for the units.
This development, situated at the corner of 95th Avenue and 148th Street, is within close proximity to the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue-JFK Airport subway station, which services the E, J and Z trains. It is also close to the Long Island Rail Road Jamaica station, as well as the AirTran shuttle to JFK Airport.
