Spread the love to Queens’ furriest residents this Valentine’s Day.
Howard Beach-based cat rescue MeowSquadNYC is launching its virtual Valentine’s Day Raffle, open to residents of the tri-state area.
One lucky winner will receive a ‘Valentine’s Day Bundle,’ which includes an array of unique couples prizes. Funds from this Valentine’s Day raffle will go directly toward essential expenses for the over 150 cats in MeowSquad’s care, including shelter maintenance, vet bills, medical treatments, food and litter.
MeowSquadNYC has partnered with the office of Senator John Liu for a unique prize experience: a one-hour plane ride for two donated by Liu. The flight, which will depart from Republic Airport in Farmingdale, will be piloted by Liu, a licensed pilot for over a decade.
Other prizes in the bundle include a private trail ride for two at Foxbreeze Farm in New Jersey, a $150 gift card to the restaurant of your choosing, a one-hour couple’s massage at Oki Grace Spa in Garden City, and a couple’s photography session with Little Leslie Photography.
Stephanie Castro, president of MeowSquadNYC, said the organization was “incredibly grateful” for working with Sen. Liu and the businesses that have donated prizes for the event.
“Their support makes a world of difference in helping us provide for the cats in our care, and this raffle is a fun way for the community to get involved while celebrating Valentine’s Day.”
Castro added that MeowSquadNYC does an array of raffles and giveaway events to engage the community throughout the year. ”The senator just offered the plane ride and we decided to make it like a really great package deal where people would be able to spread it out over several weekends and you have a Valentine’s Month,” Castro said.
Castro added, “There is no other, no greater Valentine than a furry companion. It’s too bad they can’t ride the plane with you.”
Founded in 2019, MeowSquad NYC is a 100% not-for-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Since its inception, MeowSquad has rescued over 1,000 cats through Trap-Neuter-Return(TNR), adoptions and fostering services, primarily in Queens.
Tickets are $20 per entry or $100 for six entries.

Purchases must include “Valentine’s Day Bundle” in your payment notes.
