Seven children and three adults were injured when their school bus driver lost control and crashed in Bellerose Manor on Monday morning.

Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision at 239-30 Union Turnpike at 7:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a yellow school bus operated by a 30-year-old woman had crashed after skidding on an icy roadway between the Cross Island Parkway and Winchester Road, failed to navigate the roadway, and subsequently crashed into a concrete wall, an NYPD spokesman said Tuesday.

The bus driver was among the injured due to the impact. EMS responded to the scene and transported seven children to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Glen Oaks, where they were listed in stable condition with minor injuries.

EMS took the bus driver and two other adults to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where they were listed in stable condition with minor injuries, the NYPD spokesman said, adding that the crash is under investigation, but it appears that Sunday night’s snowfall was to blame for the icy road condition.
