Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood responded to a 911 call of a bomb threat at I.S./P.S. 119 in Glendale on Monday morning.
Officers were informed by school administrators that an email was received from an unknown sender stating that there were bombs placed inside the school, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.
The NYPD Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded to the school at 74-01 78th Ave. and used K-9 units to sweep the hallways while approximately 220 students and faculty were evacuated due to an abundance of caution.

Students were temporarily relocated to nearby schools while the NYPD investigated. No devices were found during the ESU search, the NYPD spokeswoman said. Students and faculty were allowed to re-enter the school at around 11 a.m.
“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” Department of Education spokeswoman Jenna Lyle said. “NYPD quickly investigated this threat and deemed it unfounded.”
No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
