A developer has plans to build a 10-story mixed-use development at what is currently the site of a longtime auto shop in Court Square.
The building, eyed for 27-19 Thomson Ave., would rise to 116 feet and span 28,051 square feet, city filings show.
A total of 30 units are planned for the site, with most floors holding four apartments each. The first two floors and down to the cellar, meanwhile, would be reserved for retail space.
Other features of the building include a recreation room, a third-floor terrace, and a roof terrace.
The corner lot, with an area of 3,600 square feet, has been home to Manny’s Auto Electric for several decades. The shop’s owner was unavailable when reached via telephone, and it is unclear when the auto repair site will close.
Records show the property was purchased by Tom Wu, the developer, for $6.85 million this summer.
Wu, who previously filed to demolish the one-story garage in July, did not immediately return an e-mail and phone call on the project.
Wu is also behind “5 Court Square”, the upcoming 11-story building at 25-24 Jackson Ave. on the same block as the auto shop. The two lots, however, are separated by a parking lot falling under a different property owner.
