The gunman wanted for shooting his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend on the Long Island Expressway has been charged with attempted murder.

Cops have caught up to the man wanted for the drive-by shooting of his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend along the Long Island Expressway (LIE) in Maspeth last month.

Terrell J. Tompkins, 39, of Hollis Avenue in Brooklyn was arrested last Friday, June 10, and has been charged with attempted murder and a slew of other charges, according to Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown’s office.

According to the criminal complaint, Tompkins got into a verbal dispute with his former girlfriend, Lissette Ferreria, and her new beau, Nicoles Veras, on the night of May 28. During the exchange, Tompkins allegedly said, “This is your man? Tonight you’re both dead. I promise,” and grabbed a dark object in his waistband.

Later that same night, at approximately 10:15 p.m. Ferreria and Veras were driving eastbound on the LIE near the Woodhaven Boulevard exit (Exit 19) when Tompkins, aboard his motorcycle, pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into the car — which carried his 18-month-old son, the complaint continued.

Veras suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm, along with two graze wounds to the same appendage, the complaint stated.

Tompkins is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear back in court on June 24.
