Advisory: Health Department to begin mosquito spraying in Queens

The New York City Health Department will begin to spray pesticides throughout the summer in all five boroughs in order to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases, such as the West Nile Virus and the Zika Virus.

The sprayings are scheduled between this Wednesday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., in parts of Alley Pond Park, Linden Hill, College Point, Edgemere, Somerville, Brookville Park, Kissena Park, Little Neck, Great Neck, Flushing, Whitestone, Far Rockaway, Arverne, Laurelton, Woodmere and Fresh Meadows.
