First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton is becoming quite a familiar fixture around Queens these days with her returning this Thursday (Sept. 9) to the Ozone Park school where she acted as Principal for a Day in the spring.
The U.S. Senate candidate-in-waiting will re-visit the Virgil Grissom school at 121-10 Rockaway Blvd., not as acting principal as on her last visit there, but rather to meet the students on the first day back to school. It also is a part of her "listening tour" of N.Y. State which she is using to help her decide on plans to make the race for the seat being vacated by retiring Senator Daniel Moynihan. In doing so, she is also keeping a promise she made to the students of the multi-ethnic school that she would keep in touch with them and their concerns.
In the past few months Mrs. Clinton has visited the Louis Armstrong House in Corona, Queens College in Flushing, and just last month held a "listening session" at Electchester auditorium in Flushing. There were also reports that she might add another Queens stop on Friday to her schedule.
