Funeral service held for school security guard

A 25-year-old school safety officer who died after breaking up a fight at Franklin K. Lane High School last week was remembered by hundreds of relatives, friends, and fellow officers Monday at a funeral mass in St. Albans.

Orville Matthew Williams, who died after suffering cardiac arrest Nov. 16 while on duty at the Woodhaven school, was described as a devoted son and relative who loved working with children.
