DAC Texas League
After scoring three runs in the first, Mike Kaleda started the key four-run rally in the fourth for St. Anastasia, which rallied to defeat the Outback Steakhouse Mets, 7-5. Chris Munno, who hit a big double, Scott Stoner and Dylan Gordon also provided offensive support for the winners
The defensive duo handling many of the put outs like seasoned veterans for St. Anastasia were Daniel Pelligrino at the pitcher’s position and Nicholas Hurley at first. Also doing a great job behind he plate was Scott Stoner.
For the Mets, the entire team played well, played hard and, most importantly, played the way they practice and enjoyed themselves. The defensive play of the game for the team was the rotation play turned in by Joshua Choe and Jonathan Chaves. Also making sparkling plays with their gloves were Anthony Bradica at first and Ian Freed in left field.
The hottest bats of James Cazzola, Joseph Brennan and Anthony Samela provided three hits apiece. Javon McDonald also had a hard-hit trouble.
DAC Pony League
Estates Animal Hospital Braves 8, DePhillips Sports Reds 4. The Braves defeated the Reds behind Matt Larotunda’s 16-strikeout performance. Max Eisenkraft, Pete Barbazon and Brian O’Connell also had key hits to power the offense. For The Reds, Thomas Hubbany had two hits and Matt DeMatteis Frank Lorrigio and Dave Gianco played well defensively. Adam Greenfield and Mark Sacks pitched well in defeat.
Hero’s Boys Club Rangers 11, Exxon at Baybridge Yankees 8. The Rangers edged the Yankees behind Matt Cummings’ strong pitching, with Pete Mulhouser and Josh Berios hitting home runs. Sandro Bacveti turned in some great defensive plays. The Yankees were led by Marco Diasparra on the mound, with Jason Waters, Rico Ottway, Tony Dilluvio and B.J. Schrettner supplying the defense. Zane Zadatny was solid behind the plate.
