Queens Council on the Arts holds talk on biz for artists

Queens Council on the Arts presents an Art Builds Community Round Table Discussion: Inside the Visual Art Business Saturday, April 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center.

This event is part of Queens Council on the Arts’ “Art Builds Community” program, a series of technical development workshops and round table gatherings designed to strengthen and support the Queens arts community. The panelists will share insights and information about numerous aspects of the business of visual art with a round table discussion followed by a question and answer period.

Speakers for the round table are David Dorsky, Dorsky Gallery; Ken Johnson, writer, The New York Times; Peter Marin, artist; and Valerie Smith, Senior Curator/Director of Exhibitions, Queens Museum of Art. The panel will be moderated by Mindy Krazmien, Exhibitions Manager for the Queens Library Gallery.

The panel presentation will be followed by discussion and Q&A, as well as an informal reception.
