Carvel scooped up a big win over Ranshaw Plumbing. Samantha Garthright led all scorers for Carvel, pouring in six points. Samantha Angelone hit from everywhere for five, and Gabriella Mardene and Angela Griorakos both slammed in four apiece. Taylor Ann Miller and Medina Hazin provided strong defense with four steals apiece, while Alexis Tchaconos ripped down four rebounds.
Ranshaw was without powerhouse player Stacy Kurumusis but still came to play. Dana Kettering and Lindsay Locosa hit for two apiece, and Alexa Kane, Carla Artopiades and Kathy Zikas played great all-around games.
Cristom Construction defeated Graham Restoration, 21-4, to improve its record to 9-1, which is tied for first place. Cristom Construction was led by the outstanding scoring of Nicole Naposki, who scored 14 points, and the rebounding and scoring of Meaghan Callahan. Christa Litrenta, Jenna Schiffman, Chistina DeVito and Melanie Vega all played outstanding games.
In an exciting game, Franklin’s Printing defeated Blue Ribbon Travel, 20-15, as Corinne Lippert led the way with eight points. Defense was key as they went up against one of the top teams in the division.
Ashley Latoni came to play, scoring six points. Bianca Pappas scored four and Harriet Skevis had two. Annabel Camilleri played tight defense, along with Melissa Clavin, Janee Young, Bianca Negron and Stephanie Camilleri. Scoring for Blue Ribbon Travel were Amy Dhaliwal with seven, Amy Reese with six and Diana Somers with two.
