The Red Storm, which won a program-best 11 straight games to open the season has lost three of its last four Big East contests and have two games left in the regular season.Greeba Barlow and Kati Kurtosi combined to score 12 points during the stretch to give St. John's a 42-37 lead with 15:03 left. But Georgetown (10-15, 5-9 Big East) went on an 18-4 run of its own over the next 8:50 to put the game away. St. John's (17-8, 6-8) got within three in the final minute but the Hoyas went 7-of-8 from the foul line to ice the win.Sophomore Angela Clark recorded her third straight double-double, with 11 points and 14 rebounds, Barlow had 16 points, Kia Wright had 15 and Kurtosi added 14 for the Red Storm, which shot 30 percent from the field and 25 percent from beyond the arc.Kate Carlin scored 14 of her team-high 16 points in the first half, Kieraah Marlow had 14 points and Bethany LeSuer added 13 for the Hoyas, which snapped a three game losing streak.Villanova 65, St. John's 51. Clark had 10 points and 16 rebounds, and Barlow and Wright also scored 10 points apiece for St. John's Sunday at Villanova. The Wildcats were led by Liad Suez, who scored 17 points, and Jennifer Hilgenberg, who added 12 points.Lohrey exceeds on and off the courtMolloy College women's basketball player Donna Lohrey was named to the ESPN The Magazine District I Academic All-American First Team Selected by CoSida today for her performance on and off the court. Lohrey, a junior guard from Glendale, was also selected to the team as a sophomore.The former Mary Louis standout was the only Division II player named to the first team and the only NYCAC player selected as an Academic All-American.In the classroom, she has a 4.0 GPA as a Psychology major. Lohrey, a five-time Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll member, leads the Lady Lions in scoring (16.3 ppg), assists (97) and free throw percentage (89.7). She is third in the NYCAC in scoring, fourth in assists and leading the conference in free throw percentage. Lohrey is also in the top-15 in the nation in free throw percentage.Lohrey will now be placed on the National Academic All-American ballot.
