Edwin Torres, 51, allegedly showed his neighbor that he was carrying a silver gun during the dispute at 120-30 Queens Blvd. in Kew Gardens, police said.
When officers responded to the dispute, Torres claimed he was a detective and had a silver badge around his neck. Authorities said the gun turned out to be fake.
Torres, who is employed by the city Office of Mental Health, was arrested on charges of impersonating a NYPD detective, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, police said.
