Bank of America has a new Vice President in Rosemary Cruz, who was hired to be a Client Development Manager within the Business Banking Department.
After five years as a Small Business Development Officer for HSBC and her time spent as a Business Banker/Assistant Manager for Citibank, Cruz feels that her broad range of financial experience will serve her well in the new position.
Excelling in many various aspects of the business, Cruz’s main area of expertise has been commercial mortgages and helping businesses to own their commercial spaces instead of just renting them.
The manual she penned on the subject of small business administration loans became a standard and proved to be a valuable aid for Cruz, who used it to teach the entire bank the ins and outs of the material.
With her new position at Bank of America, Cruz plans to put her knowledge to good use; mainly with the acquisition and handling of small business portfolios that Cruz says are chosen with extreme care (small businesses with a minimum annual revenue of roughly $2.5 million are usually the standard).
Cruz showered her new employer with praise and could not say enough good things about the Bank of America family and their unique approach to banking.
She praised the organization’s efforts within the local financial sector by saying that the staff most closely resembles “a team of physicians that go into an operating room to operate.”
Cruz mentioned that she’s been around the financial world quite a bit but has never experienced a bank quite like Bank of America.
“A very tight-run ship,” added Cruz.
A Bayside resident herself, Cruz is very much aware of the community she lives in and makes cognizance of the people around her a top priority.
“We invest in our customers… we feel that their success is our success.”
She realizes that her job is a little bit more than annual rates and percentage points on paper; she knows her work has a very direct effect on the community and says she values this role tremendously.
Cruz will continue to educate those around her at a seminar entitled How to Make The Most of Federal, State and New York City Incentive Programs.
The event will take place on April 25 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at LaGuardia Community College. For further information, visit www.Bankofamerica.com/business banking/events.com.
