Ex auxiliary cop shot waving a BB gun

A former auxiliary officer shot by real New York Police Department (NYPD) cops in Rosedale is listed in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital following the incident.
Armando Dominguez, 49, who had been a volunteer with Jackson Heights’ 115th Precinct 21 years ago, was fired on 32 times by eight officers after he allegedly waved a BB gun at them at 246th Street and Hook Creek Boulevard.
“I told him many, many times that you shouldn’t have that [gun],” said his brother Carlos Dominguez, 44, in published reports. “I told him that he was an auxiliary cop and that doesn’t look good on you.”
Armando Dominguez was allegedly intoxicated around 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 when he ignored the warnings of the eight cops to drop his weapon. According to the New York Police Department, he then bent to pick up a fallen police scanner, allegedly to pretend to call in a drug bust.
Five police officers, two sergeants and one lieutenant then opened fire. During the fray, the lieutenant suffered a graze wound to the shoulder. He was taken to North Shore Hospital and released. Dominguez was shot in the torso, although it is still unclear how many times he was hit.
