Diploma for preschoolers

State Senator John Sabini congratulated one of 19 graduates from Newtown Playground Preschool in Elmhurst at the school’s graduation ceremony on June 20.
Sabini has funded the operation of the day school, which is an enriched pre-kindergarten program largely for immigrant non-English speaking children, for almost 20 years.
Prior to his time in the Senate, Sabini secured funds as a City Councilmember to rebuild the adjacent Newtown Playground, providing new play equipment, benches, paving and landscaping for the preschool students.
