Police seek Astoria bank robber

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the search for a suspected bank burglar.
On Tuesday, July 15 the suspect entered the Commerce Bank on Steinway Street and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied, giving the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect fled northbound on 38th Street. No injuries were reported.
The perp is described as a 5’9”, 25-year-old male, weighing approximately 140 pounds. He was wearing a baseball cap, gray T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
