Councilmember Anthony Como recently announced that he has secured $300,000 in city funds for Ridgewood’s P.S. 113, at 87-21 79th Street. The money will be used for purchasing computers, Como said.
“Easy accessibility to computers provides our students with an understanding of how technology can be used in a responsible manner as an educational tool,” Como said. “Moreover, the use of computers is an innovative approach to integrate technology and learning by providing a dynamic educational environment.”
The money for P.S. 113 is part of the approximately $2 million in city funds intended for computers which Como has procured for a total of 10 schools within his district, which includes Middle Village, Maspeth, Ridgewood, Glendale, Richmond Hill and parts of Woodhaven.
