State police in upstate New York were investigating the death of a Flushing−native this week after he was found unresponsive following a party at an unauthorized fraternity, authorities said Monday.
State police said Arman Partamain, a 19−year−old sophomore at SUNY Geneseo, was found dead by another student shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday morning. Authorities said Partamain was found in an unofficial fraternity house known as “the Pig House,” located off campus, where they believe he had attended a party the night before.
Police did not say whether Partamain, a 2007 graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, was a member of the fraternity, but said they believe alcohol was involved in his death. State police said they were collaborating with the Livingston County Attorney General’s office on the investigation, which is ongoing.
Partamain’s parents, who live in Flushing where the 19−year−old grew up, could not be reached for comment.
