Need shoes for the family? It takes a village.

Everyone from grandma to the podiatrist will tell you that properly fitting footwear is critical – when it comes to shoes for kids, teens and adults all under one roof, it’s hard to beat Shoe Village in Flushing.

The Song family has been in the business for more than 30 years. Peter Song and his son, Peter Jr. have filled 45-22 162nd Street in the Murray Hill section with an incredible assortment.

“We take pride in the fact that we offer the kind of service and selection that people would expect in Manhattan or in a Long Island shopping center, right here in Queens,” said Peter Jr.

“The difference is that instead of having to go to one store for men, another for women and still another for children, you only have to come here,” he added.

Shoe Village even has onsite parking – you only have to walk a few feet in your tired old shoes, to their front door.

Step inside, and you’re in hoof heaven, with popular brands like Converse and Baby Phat for the youngsters; Johnston & Murphy and Rockport for men; Steve Madden, Kenneth Cole and La Canadienne for les femmes, on display.

Don’t like shoes? They have a great selection of MBT, “The anti-shoe.”

Shoe Village has infant sizes 4 to 10; athletic shoes from New Balance, Puma, Reebok and more. “We even have the special shoes for ballroom dancers,” Peter Jr. said.

But the big news is that Shoe Village now has an Ugg Australia store-in-store, an oasis of those must-have sheepskin boots that you won’t find in other places.

“We’re one of only 40 Ugg store-in-stores nationwide,” he said with pride. “As such, we have styles and colors that you won’t find in a lot of department stores.”

You can even shop online at their web site: www.comfortshoevillage.com.

With an expert multi-lingual staff to measure your exact size and width, great selection and prices and a huge clearance section, you can outfit everyone in your family – from toddlers to tap-dancers – at Shoe Village in Flushing. For more information, call them at 718-762-1990.
