NST Employee Becomes Independent Sales Agent for Disney Vacation Club

A lifelong dream of working with Disney has come true for Frances (Cindy) Hopper, who recently began working as an independent sales agent for the Disney Vacation Club.
Hopper, who works in the management office at North Shore Towers, described Walt Disney as one of her mentors, and said that she has already been to Walt Disney World more than 21 times.
In April, she received an e-mail that was sent out to Disney Vacation Club members and realtors that they were looking for independent sales agents. Having always wanted to work for Disney in some capacity, she sent in her information and is now an independent contractor for them.
In this position, Hopper will be selling “deeded, real estate interests for Disney Vacation Club,” of which she herself is a member.
“Independent Sales Agents will have the privilege of serving as ambassadors for this dynamic brand, and the honor of making a real difference in the lives of families in their area,” Disney Vacation Club President Jim Lewis said in a press release. “The outstanding quality of our resorts, the exceptional level of service and affordable pricing is considered a great vacation value by our members.
Hopper, a licensed salesperson, had to go through training and take an online test, officially starting as an agent in August. She is one of five independent sales agents in New York so far, along with one designated broker in the area, Joanne Greenspan. Hopper and four others are all part of All Island Realty Group, Inc.
Recently, Hopper was given an award for having the distinction of being the first independent sales agent to make a sale in New York.
“To get the first sale felt so good,” she said. “I just can’t wait for more.”
Hopper said that she feels this is a great value for families, and added that she believes in the quality that Disney has to offer. She also pointed out that the Disney Vacation Club offers flexibility and a wide variety of vacations.
The Disney Vacation Club was started in 1991 and now has more than 420,000 members.
One of Hopper’s goals is to make people happy and help them experience the same joy that she does with her own family. Hopper said that her children get excited when they find out they are going on a Disney trip, and her 17-year-old still does a countdown ritual.
As a member of the club herself, Hopper said some of the benefits she has seen are in the way she is treated and the discounts she gets.
“There’s a lot of value there,” said Hopper, whose favorite Disney destination is Old Key West. “You feel like part of the Disney family.”
Hopper also has another big goal.
“I want to be Disney’s top seller,” she said.
Anyone interested in contacting Hopper can do so by calling 917-572-4489 or by e-mailing cindy@allislandrealitygroup.com. The website for All Island Reality Group, www.allislandrealtygroup.com, will be up shortly, as well.
