Networking and charity in one place

Few things are as precious as a community’s cultural institutions, and at this year’s Top Women in Business Networking Awards Dinner, a raffle will be held to benefit the Queens Museum of Art (QMA).
“As a board member of the QMA, I intimately know the powerful educational programming they offer – including the Panorama, a must see,” said Victoria Schneps-Yunis, Publisher of The Queens Courier. “It is our privilege to be raising money to help the Museum during these challenging fiscal times.”
Participants can win two round-trip tickets from the U.S. to the Caribbean, courtesy of American Airlines, and a special prize from Sandals.
“For American Airlines, being a part of New York really means being a part of Queens, where, with its two airports, we have 187 daily flights and 7,500 great people,” said Ned Raynolds, American Airlines spokesperson. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with The Queens Courier to support the Queens Museum of Art.”
“At the Queens Museum of Art we pride ourselves on the caliber of exhibitions, education and public programs that engage traditional and non-traditional museum-goers alike,” said Tom Finkelpearl, QMA’s executive director. “Your support will enable us to continue to serve thousands of schoolchildren, families, new immigrants, people with special needs and seniors, and to offer programming that make the Queens Museum of Art so special and one of the most fully community-engaged museums in New York City.”
There will also be a door prize – a $100 gift certificate to the Queens Center Mall. As Schneps-Yunis says, “You have to be in it to win it,” so be sure to purchase raffle tickets – three for $10; arm’s length $25; and four arms lengths $100 – and help ensure the cultural future of the borough.
