With more than 30 years experience, Antonio Lacarbonara is a perfect fit as banquet director for the soon-to-be open Valentino’s on the Green. Lacarbonara said it’s where he belongs.
"I know the clientele and have built relationships with local patrons for many years," he said.
Lacarbonra began in the industry at the tender age of 13, working at prestigious catering venues. He worked his way up to maitre d’, and later opened up his own a la carte restaurant in White Plains. He was even a caterer for the New York Rangers hockey team, and as such, helped with various fund-raising efforts.
His managerial skills were put to use at Caffé on the Green, as catering manager.
Then he met the Kolaj brothers, and everything just seemed to fall into place.
"Me coming on board brings that experience to Valentino’s," said Lacarbonara, who said that the banquet hall has some booking already.
The room, which can be divided into two, can seat up to 250 guests, with a dance floor.
Perfect for weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, christenings, even corporate events, it will now be outfitted with an elevator, making it handicap-accessible.
Another "nice addition," according to Lacarbonara, is the luxuriously enlarged bridal suite, complete with its own bathroom and vanity area.
"The room itself is a special space," he said.
But, he noted, what sets Valentino’s apart for your big event, "is our size, personalized attention, ambiance, history, and a romantic, intimate feeling… a place to create memories."
"We bring a great team of chefs and pastry chefs on board and cater to a variety of our customers’ needs."
Since the banquet office is officially open, call 718-352-2300 today to meet with Lacarbonara to book your function and have a personal tour of the new facility. Reservations for weddings, banquets, and corporate events are now being accepted.
